Where are you located?
I am located out of DC Metropolitan area but I have a passport ready! I love to travel!

How far in advance should I book my session?
I have been known to book out a few weeks in advance, so it's always best to e-mail me early to be safe. I prefer to only shoot one portrait session per day (Monday through Friday) and my weekend sessions are limited. If your schedule makes weekday sessions difficult, just let me know and I can do my best to reserve a weekend for your session!
What time of day do you normally schedule your sessions?
The best time of day for a shoot to capture my soft & light style are right before sunrise at 7AM and immediately after "golden hour" at 7PM. Since most of my clients don’t like the idea of waking up before 6am (and I don’t blame them) almost all of my sessions are scheduled in the evening.
Do I have permission to print the photos? Can I use them on Facebook?
Yes! Please contact for an Image Release Form if needed. You may not however – sell, edit, alter, or advertise the images in any way. I ask that if you post your images online – please state clearly that these photos were taken by Jacqueline Gordo Photography.
How long does it take to receive my photos?
Prior, receiving all the photos I do typically send a quick low-resolution preview to you within a few days after our session. On average, portrait sessions take up to 2 weeks for full completion! Once the images are edited, they are uploaded to a password protected online viewing gallery and shared with you.
How many images do I receive? Are they edited?
For a Full Portrait session, the client will receive an average 50+ fully edited & retouched images. However, I am not a magician and cannot guarantee that number. I can ensure you that I will edit and share with you all the quality images from the session I approve of. Many of these images will be both in color and black and white to give you a full array to choose from!
Do you have any suggestions on where we should do the shoot?
The best locations are always the ones that you think of — meaningful locations or new exciting venues for photography! Before your session, take a car ride around your neighborhood or ask friends if they know of any good spots for photography. My favorite locations are romantic, intimate, and open spaces. Still can't settle on a location? I have a few we can discuss together!
What should I wear?
This is the biggest and most important question that I get! I recommend light, airy, + comfortable clothing and accessories. You can always bring a bag full of different accessories and I can help you choose which ones to wear at the location. If shooting with your significant other, plan to color coordinate colors (think color palettes). In addition, many of my clients that wear multiple outfits to a photoshoot opt out on one semi-formal outfit and one casual outfit. I highly recommend going shopping the week before your shoot. There is nothing like new clothes to spark your mood & flatter your figure.
